FIVE national roads in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) and Cagayan Valley Region remain close due to the effects of Tropical Cyclone Nika and Tropical Cyclone Ofel, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said.
DPWH Secretary Manuel Bonoan also disclosed on Thursday that the estimated partial cost of damage to infrastructure in CAR and Region 3 due to Nika and Ofel has reached P442.107 million, including the P121.45 million estimated damage to roads in CAR and P320.66 million damage to flood control structures in Region 3.

The reported cost of infrastructure damages are still subject for field validation.
