THERE is always a reason why political analysts like me would comment on politics in other countries. Those who would say that we do not have any business commenting about the outcome of the US elections won by a convicted felon, which, by the way, is not a derogatory statement but is a statement of fact, are simply clueless about the nature of the political commentary. And it is not even accurate to say that only those with material interests, like business activities in the US, should have a right to comment.
We political analysts may not earn millions of US dollars, but we do earn somehow from our commentaries, so it is actually our business if we can call picking brains and being paid some honorarium as practicing a trade, as I do get paid for every article I write in this space.
