CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The recently concluded competitive selection process (CSP) for the 57 megawatts (MW) guaranteed dependable capacity power supply of the Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Ormeco) assures consumers that the power rate currently charged by the cooperative would be reduced, an official said.
In a telephone interview, Ormeco General Manager Humphrey Dolor said that the CSP, which ended on Nov. 11, 2024, would result in a significant reduction of the current rate of power in the service area if everything would be approved by the National Electrification Administration (NEA) and the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) after a post-evaluation process.
