Taiwan's iconic Du Hsiao Yueh restaurant now in the Philippines

Filipino foodies need not have to go to Taiwan to experience its fabled cuisine as Viva Foods International brought the iconic restaurant Du Hsiao Yueh to the Philippines.
Du Hsiao Yueh is one of Taiwan's most famous restaurants which dates back to 1895. Founded by a fisherman named Hong Yu To, Du Hsiao Yueh started from a humble beginning. He peddled noodles from containers hanging from a shoulder pole. He was later able to open a stand on a street in Tainan during fishing's off season. Locals liked the unique taste of his Dan Zai Noodles that it became so popular. Today, the fourth generation continues to manage the brand. Viva Foods has now made available for Filipino foodies to savor its legendary dishes like Danzi Noodles and Minced Pork Rice which Taiwanese have been enjoying for over a hundred years. These and other signature dishes are now available at Du Hsiao Yueh, located on the Upper Ground Level of the City Center (Main Mall) at SM North Edsa in Quezon City. The restaurant is open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The grand opening in October, marked the brand's 17th store in the world. The kick-off was heralded with a tea and ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by Viva Foods' President and Chief Operating Officer, VR del Rosario. Du Hsiao Yueh at SM North EDSA offers its signature dishes, best sellers and must-try items from its wide menu including the original Xiao Long Bao which is made fresh daily. The restaurant also boasts of its noodle soup bar that is a signature attraction in all its branches, namely, Taiwan, China, Macau, Hongkong, and Canada.
