MANILA, Philippines — The Akari Chargers kicked off their Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference campaign with a thrilling 28-30, 25-15, 25-16, 25-23 win over the Galeries Tower Highrisers at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Saturday.

Akari overcame a first set blip, before dominating the next two frames of the match.
