REPUBLIC Cement received two citations at the 2023 Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Awards held at the Malacañan Palace last October. It won for exemplary Quarry Operations (Non-Metallic Category) in its Batangas and Teresa plants.

Presented by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Mines and Geosciences Bureau, the awards recognize organizations that have demonstrated outstanding performance in responsible mining, environmental conservation and safety excellence. It annually highlights 'the exemplary efforts of mining groups and companies that have achieved safe, environmentally sound and socially responsible operations,' said President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at the event.
