Sulphur emission forces work stoppage

BACOLOD CITY — The strong sulfuric smell from Kanlaon Volcano forced the suspension of work at a government-operated tourist spot in Sitio Guintubdan, Barangay Ilijan, Bago City, Dr. Merinje Ortizo, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office head, said Thursday.

The 18 employees of the City Tourism Office at the Rafael Salas Park and Nature Center were asked to leave the premises for their security.
