TACLOBAN CITY — Several local government units (LGUs) in the province of Leyte have suspended government work and classes in all levels on Nov. 8 for the 11th commemoration of Super Typhoon Yolanda (international name: Haiyan).

At press time, the following LGUs have issued the suspensions: Abuyog, Jaro, Mahaplag, Palo, Pastrana, Matalom, San Miguel, Santa Fe, Villaba, and Tacloban City.
