First of two parts
AFTER the announcement of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) tests, I remain bothered that we are second to last in Science and Math among 81 countries. Our modern world doesn't exist without the presence and knowledge of both. The two are closely related, one doesn't exist without the other. Yet here we are with an upcoming generation that knows next to nothing about both of them. We are going to be left behind as the world races into the artificial intelligence age. The dedicated focus on the two is not there. We sure as hell can't be a leader in this fourth revolution without properly, fully educated kids. We can't expect to grow an economy without knowledgeable kids, with Science and Math underpinning that knowledge.
