THE military on Wednesday claimed the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army (CPP-NPA) suffered another big blow following the death of two suspected terrorists in an encounter with government forces in Northern Samar on Tuesday.
Lt. Col. Israel Galorio, information officer of the Visayas Command, said the two CPP-NPA members under the Eastern Visayas Regional Party Committee were killed in a clash with troops belonging to the 803rd Infantry Brigade in Barangay Sulitan, Catubig, Northern Samar.
