LEGAZPI CITY — With the impact of climate change being felt everywhere, the Bicol Region stands to continue experiencing severe flooding in the coming years if the siltation in the Bicol River Basin will not be addressed.
Rep. Fernando Cabredo of Albay's third district made the assessment as he reacted to a planned revival of a 1970 feasibility of Bicol River Basin Development Program and rehabilitation of the Bicol River Basin to address the massive inundation the region has experienced during the onslaught of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.
