CoC filing in BARMM begins as Senate seeks to move polls

AS far as the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is concerned, the first parliamentary elections in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) will remain as scheduled next year until a law is enacted mandating its postponement.

Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia on Monday flew to Cotabato City, the regional center of BARMM, for the start of the filing of certificates of candidacy (CoC) in the region on Nov.4 that would end on Nov. 9.
