WHEN political debate devolves into an "us versus them" mentality, the nation is polarized into a vortex of hate and toxicity. When conversations are seeded with personal insults, curses, vulgar language and attacks on a person's sensibilities, then the basic rules of political decency are thrown out the window. No truths will come out of such conversations. Instead, only poisonous remarks and wild conspiracies filter into people's flawed choices.
