LAST week, the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (Paocc) and the Anti-Cybercrime Group (ACG) of the Metro Manila police were at odds over a raid on a supposed Philippine offshore gaming operator (POGO) hub in Manila, which the ACG had carried out.
The Paocc said the raid was flawed because all the 85 foreigners who were detained were eventually released without being charged. The ACG explained that it could not hold on to them because it could be charged with arbitrary detention.
