COMING off a successful campaign in the National Youth and Chess School Championship last week, FIDE Master Christian Gian Karlo Arca aims to continue his winning ways when he competes in the 3rd Governor Henry Oaminal Open Chess Festival on Nov. 4 to 5 at the Asenso Misamis Occidental Sports and Cultural Center in Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental.
The 15-year-old Grade 10 student of Panabo City National High School topped the National Youth and Chess School Championship held in Alicia, Isabela, with a perfect score of seven wins in the standard chess event.
