MANILA, Philippines — The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said that 8,630,663 people or 2,200,731 families were affected by tropical cyclones Kristine and Leon.

The agency's latest report said the death toll was 146, with 126 up for validation.
