Cigarettes worth P2.34M seized from 3 smugglers

BACOLOD CITY — Maritime police seized P2.34 million worth of smuggled cigarettes and arrested three suspects in Barangay San Juan, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental on Oct. 29.

The Bacolod Maritime Police under Col. Ervin Glenn Provido, chief of the Regional Maritime Unit 6 (RMU-6), identified the suspects as Al Zubair Amilasan, 42, and Al Abdul, 40, of Binalbagan, and Renato Gaan, 40, of Barangay 1, Isabela.
