THE Philippines opened the International Conference on Women, Peace, and Security (ICWPS) on Oct. 28, highlighting its commitment to advancing women's roles in peacebuilding. With the theme "Forging collaboration and convergence for advancing women, peace, and security," the three-day conference gathered 691 delegates from 84 countries, including high-level officials and parliamentarians.
