QUEZON City Mayor Maria Josefina 'Joy' Belmonte announced on Thursday that the Sangguniang Panlungsod has approved a resolution for the release of P10 million as financial assistance to nine local government units in Bicol Region.

Lauding the council members led by presiding officer Vice Mayor Gian Sotto for the quick response, Belmonte said the measure, which they approved during a special session, will authorize her to provide the financial aid to the concerned local government units (LGUs) which were affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.
