MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. attended on Friday a Mass at the Libingan ng mga Bayani (LNMB) for his father, former president Ferdinand Marcos Sr.
Marcos visited the tomb of the former president, together with his mother, former first lady Imelda Marcos.
The Mass was held in observance of "Undas" — the traditional yearly visit of Filipinos to their loved ones' graves on All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day.
It has been almost eight years since the controversial burial of the late president in LNMB — or Heroes' Cemetery. He was laid to rest there on November 18, an event most people were not expecting, thus generating a lot of opposition.
