CALAPAN CITY, ORIENTAL MINDORO — A composite team of construction and maintenance workers, a boom truck and maintenance vehicle and health care workers were sent by the Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Ormeco) to assist in the rehabilitation efforts of the Batangas 1 Electric Cooperative (Batelec 1) in restoring power supply to its service areas that were affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine.

Morena Lim Bautista, Ormeco's corporate communication and marketing chief, said Tuesday that the cooperative sent eight construction workers, five maintenance and linemen, three health care workers and two drivers. The personnel were accompanied by members of the board of the cooperative headed by general manager Humphrey Dolor.
