PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Wednesday led the launch of the Maersk Optimus Distribution Center — one of the largest in the country — that is seen to boost trade and bring the country's logistics system closer to becoming "a powerful force."

In a speech, the President said the opening of the P4.8-billion facility in Calamba, Laguna, supported the government's vision of boosting import and export activities, particularly in Southern Luzon.
