THE Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) recently concluded its inaugural Gender and Development Focus Group Discussion (GAD FGD). The event aimed to address gender-related issues and chart a path toward a more inclusive maritime industry.

Participants, including representatives from various maritime organizations and seafarers, discussed key challenges faced by women in the industry and developed strategies to promote gender equality. The insights gained from the FGD will be used to create a more equitable and sustainable maritime sector.
