TACLOBAN CITY — The local government unit of Lavezares, Northern Samar on Sunday extended a hero's welcome to its resident, a Philippine Army soldier who drowned during military operations against communist insurgents at the height of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine's (international name: Trami) onslaught in Paranas, Samar on Oct. 22.
Mayor Edito Saludaga led the hero's welcome to the body of Pvt. Boyet Bugtong who arrived on Sunday morning in their town.
