Marcos to ERC: Study electricity bill moratorium for 'Kristine'-hit areas

MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Tuesday ordered the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) to study the imposition of a moratorium on electricity line disconnections and payment collections from October to December 2024 in areas affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine (international name: Trami).

The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said the initiative was part of the government's continued efforts to aid the typhoon victims.
