Our featured artist today is Ligaya Fernando Amilbangsa, a 2015 Ramon Magsaysay Awardee for her "single-minded crusade in preserving the artistic heritage of Southern Philippines and creatively propagating a dance form that celebrates and deepens the sense of shared identity among Asians."
Amilbangsa is a highly-acclaimed choreographer of Southern Philippines traditional dances and rituals. She is the founder, artistic director and master choreographer of the AlunAlun Dance Circle, and an FEU Outstanding Alumna Class 1962.
