BRICS, an alternative organization to the United Nations and G7, held its 16th summit in Kavan, Russia, from October 22 to 23, and its outcomes, not just speeches, herald vast changes in the world's political order and financial systems. The Brics and the multipolar world are developing very rapidly.
Just before the summit, China and India signed a border dispute agreement, bringing peace to a decadeslong dispute that claimed several dozen lives in 2020 clashes. Disengagement and patrolling arrangements for both sides were arrived at, and both sides now pulled back tens of thousands of troops in the Himalayan Line of Actual Control.
