MANILA, Philippines –Tropical Storm Leon slightly intensified over the Philippine Sea and its trough brought scattered rains and thunderstorms in Catanduanes, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Sunday.
Estimated some 1,000 kilometers east of Central Luzon, the tropical cyclone is moving westward at 20 kilometers per hour (kph) with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph, Pagasa said.
