P29M worth of Dagupan bangus escape to sea

DAGUPAN CITY — Some P29 million worth of bangus (milkfish) were lost here after storm surges spawned by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine smashed their cages, letting them escape to the open sea.

A damage assessment report for fisheries sent to The Manila Times on Friday indicated that the cages were destroyed on October 23 in the island villages of Lomboy and Pugaro here.
