Leyte lawmaker, 12 others in criminal raps

TACLOBAN CITY — A private citizen from Leyte has filed criminal charges against a Leyte lawmaker, a municipal mayor, a lady lawyer, and ten members of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of the Philippine National Police in Eastern Visayas on Wednesday afternoon.

The complainant, identified as Darlito Sevilla Nuñez of Barangay Manlawan, Tabango, Leyte, filed the charges of alleged grave coercion, intimidation, and threats against Leyte 4th District Rep. Richard Gomez, Tabango Mayor Bernard Jonathan Remandaban, and lawyer Rem Beryl Veloso.
