MANILA, Philippines — Severe tropical storm "Kristine," now known by its international name "Trami," is headed toward the West Philippines Sea, outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), prompting the lifting of all storm signals in the country, the state weather bureau said on Friday night.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 11 p.m. bulletin on Thursday that the storm's center was 535 kilometers west of Bacnotan, La Union, which is well outside the PAR.
