THE Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), an attached agency of the Department of Information and Communications Technology, has formally partnered with a private financial firm to ensure a safe and secured lending and borrowing environment for 12 million consumers and 170 lending agencies, especially in times of disasters.

The signing of a memorandum of agreement between the CICC and the Consumer Lending Association of the Philippines (CLAP) "will allow the protection of online consumers," CICC Executive Director Alexander Ramos said, adding that the partnership will help sustain the industry's growth.
