PHILIPPINE tropical fabrics — abaca, bandala, piña, banana, kawayarn and other textiles — were showcased in a 100-piece collection designed by the Davao Fashion and Design Council Foundation Inc. (DFDCFI) during The Stellar Fashion Gala.
This fundraising charity event done for the benefit of b.LOOM Project's weaving communities intended to realign the Davao artisanal weaving brand to the country's fashion niche along the lines of design identity and regenerative sustainability. It also launched the b.LOOM Project, DFDCFI's initiative showcasing Davao's expertise in fashion beyond the loom.
