LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — A storm surge whipped by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine flooded Pangasinan shorelines on Wednesday night, driving some 528 families in 11 coastal towns and cities to the different evacuation centers.
According to the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office here, the storm surges peaked from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. and were from one meter to two meters high as Kristine approached eastern Luzon at that time.
