Automakers upbeat on electric vehicle sales

AUTOMAKERS expect electric vehicle (EV) sales to surpass last year's results, anticipating an easy 10-percent growth this year with hybrids dominating the market.

Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (Campi) President Rommel Gutierrez said Thursday that EV sales were set to exceed the 10,000 units sold in 2023 for both hybrid and pure EVs.
