LEGAZPI CITY — Typhoon Kristine dumped immense rainfall inside 24 hours, causing what could well go down as the worst flooding in Bicol Region in 55 years, according to Cedric Daep, former chief of Albay Public Safety Emergency Management Office and concurrent consultant to acting Gov. Baby Glenda Bongao, the Provincial Disaster Risk and Rescue Management Office chairman.

"We experienced the worst flooding in the history of Albay because more than 500 millimeters of rainfall precipitation took place in just 24 hours," Daep told The Manila Times on Wednesday at the sideline of the provincial meeting in Albay.
