CALLING himself as the underdog in Cagayan de Oro's congressional race, Rainier Joaquin Uy has urged voters and residents to be on the lookout for vote-buying politicians in the 2025 elections.
The former city vice mayor and son of Mayor Rolando Uy is seeking a congressional seat in the first district of Cagayan de Oro. He is currently the village chief of Carmen, one of the city's biggest barangay, with a voting population of almost 80,000 based on the 2020 census.
