MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives suspended work for the second straight day on Thursday because of bad weather caused by Severe Tropical Storm "Kristine."

In an advisory, House Secretary General Reginald Velasco said work in the legislative chamber "is hereby further suspended on October 24" considering "the continued inclement weather brought about by" the storm.
