SCIENTISTS warned decades ago about the inconvenient truth that if humans continue to burn coal, oil and natural gas, the planet would be in grave danger. Experts believe that unless we reduce our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, global warming and climate change will likely kill 250,000 people every year and force 100 million more people into poverty by 2030 in five years and two-and-a-half months.

Climate experts predict that, despite incessant warnings by environmentalists, GHG emissions will peak before 2025 but must decline 43 percent by 2030. China, the US, India and Russia must cut their carbon emissions to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement in 2015 and the Dubai COP28 in 2023. Otherwise, global warming and climate change will trigger extreme weather, wildfires, floods, and dire impacts on oceans, ecosystems, food security, and other aspects of human life.
