North Korea denies sending troops to support Russia for the first time
North Korea denies sending troops to support Russia in Ukraine, the very first response from the state since Seoul made the assertion.
Seoul's spy agency said on Friday that North Korea had decided to send a "large-scale" troop deployment to support Moscow's war in Ukraine, with 1,500 special forces already in Russia's Far East and undergoing training.
"As for the so-called military cooperation with Russia, my delegation does not feel any need for comment on such groundless stereotyped rumors aimed at smearing the image of the DPRK," said a North Korean representative to the UN at a plenary meeting at the UN General Assembly session in New York.
