GOVERNMENT CENTER, Palo, Leyte — The Mines and Geosciences Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (MGB-DENR) in Eastern Visayas based at Barangay Candahug here has confirmed the rampant illegal mountain quarrying in Samar province.
Glenn Marcelo Noble, Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) regional director, bared that the illegal quarrying activities are in the mountains of Catbalogan City and San Jorge, Samar.
