'Edward Scissorhands' and 'Wednesday' costumes to 'Beetlejuice' and 'Corpse Bride' sketches, an exhibition opening in London on Oct. 25, 2024, delves into the fantastical world of US filmmaker Tim Burton. Held at the Design Museum, 'The World of Tim Burton' showcases a range of objects, including some of the director's early childhood sketches to items from his latest productions. On show are drawings and figurines from Burton films like 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' and 'The Corpse Bride' as well as costumes from his movies including 'Sleepy Hollow' and television series 'Wednesday.' The exhibition looks at how Burton's original sketches have been brought to screen as well as his collaborations with longtime partners, including costume designer, Colleen Atwood. Personal artwork is also on display. The exhibition has toured around the world for over a decade and the show at the Design Museum, running until April 21, 2025, is its final stop.
