THE Luzon Economic Corridor (LEC) — conceptualized during the very first trilateral summit between the United States, Japan and the Philippines — will play a vital role in sustaining progress in the Philippines' growth hubs.

On April 11, US President Joe Biden, then-Japanese prime minister Fumio Kishida and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced their plan to develop the LEC as part of the G7 Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment (PGI).
