'NKorea sends troops to Russia for training'

SEOUL — North Korea has begun 'large-scale' deployment of soldiers to Russia to support the latter's war on Ukraine, with 1,500 special forces already in the Russian Far East and undergoing training, South Korea's spy agency said on Friday.

The announcement sparked anger in Kyiv, which demanded a 'strong reaction' from its European and American allies, and concern in France. United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer said the move smacked of 'desperation' from Moscow.
