I grew up an Evangelical Christian, my Mamang's sister, Lola Lyd along with her husband, Lolo Bojie were pastors of a small church and my earliest memories included Lola Lyd praying for me and my siblings and going to their church in Manuela (now Starmall) with my family every Sunday. I loved it — the music, preaching the promise of God's goodness, and even Sunday school. I took this love with me throughout school and early adulthood. By 2012, I was determined to follow my grandmother's footsteps and go to Bible School and yet, for whatever reason, I decided to go against that dream and pursue the world of marketing and public relations instead.

Twelve years later, the passion to remind people of God's love has remained within me but has definitely transformed from what I initially thought it would be. Twelve years ago, I thought doing this meant a big stage, bright lights, and many followers on Instagram. I was also extremely legalistic and was very arrogant about my legalism. I thought I was better than everyone and deserved more than anyone because I followed the rule book.
