MALACAÑANG said this week it supported the plan of the Philippine National Police (PNP) to reinvestigate killings related to the war on illegal drugs waged by former president Rodrigo Duterte's administration. It is the strongest signal yet that top officials behind that bloody campaign would finally be held accountable for the deaths of thousands of drug suspects who never had the benefit of a trial before they were gunned down in police operations.
