Canino eyes WIM title in Singapore

RUELLE 'Tawing' Canino, the young chess princess who first found fame at the Batang Pinoy and ended up representing the Philippines in the 2024 Chess Olympiad, aims to continue to improve her chess rankings and seek higher goals.

The varsity player from Far Eastern University said she would skip this year's edition of the Batang Pinoy National Championships set for Nov. 23-28, 2024 in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, as she competes in a major tournament in Singapore.
