A vibrant tapestry of friendship was woven as Peru and the Philippines commemorated the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations. A diplomatic reception at Bonifacio Hall A, Shangri-La at the Fort in Taguig City celebrated the two nations' shared values, mutual respect, and enduring bond.


The event was attended by a distinguished group of dignitaries, including Ambassador Cecilia Galarreta Bazán of Peru to the Philippines; Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo; Department of Information and Communications Technology Secretary Ivan John Uy; Undersecretary Charles C. Jose of the Department of Foreign Affairs' Office of Multilateral Affairs and International Economic Relations; Papal Nuncio Charles Brown; Honorary Consul General Dr. Francis Chua; members of the diplomatic corps; government officials; business leaders; and members of the Peruvian community in the Philippines.
