THE peso regained some ground on Wednesday but its continued weakness was said to have weighed on the stock market.
The currency strengthened by 16-and-a-half centavos to P57.7 against the dollar while the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) slipped by 19.31 points, or 0.26 percent, to 7,437.
