MOTOR vehicle sales picked up in September from a month earlier, automakers reported on Wednesday, with passenger cars making up for a decline in the bread and butter commercial vehicle category.
A total of 39,542 units left showrooms last month, up 1.0 percent from August's 39,155, and was also 2.4 percent higher than the year-earlier 38,628, data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (Campi) and the Truck Manufacturers Association showed.
